Coexistence Strategies: Running M365 and Workspace Together

The Coexistence Challenge
If you have 10,000 users, you cannot migrate them all over a single weekend. You must migrate them in batches. This creates a period of 'Coexistence' where half the company is on Office 365 and half is on Google Workspace.
Dual Delivery Routing
To ensure emails don't get lost, we configure Dual Delivery. The primary MX records point to Google Workspace. If Google sees the user hasn't been migrated yet, it uses a routing rule to forward the email to the legacy Office 365 server. This ensures seamless communication between departments, regardless of which cloud they are currently operating in.
