You've successfully migrated to Google Workspace, but you are still paying the monthly bill for Microsoft 365. When can you turn it off?
We recommend a 30-day 'read-only' retention period. After the cutover, revoke licenses from users but keep the Microsoft tenant active. This provides a safety net in case an obscure, un-migrated SharePoint site is suddenly needed. Once 30 days have passed with no IT tickets regarding missing legacy data, it is safe to fully decommission the Microsoft tenant and stop the billing.
